It's open seating
Nice place for a meal and drinks, for the location on the beach. Wasn’t blown away by the food or service; servers were nice but took quite a while for the food. Water came quickly. Prices are high for what you get, but one can call it paying for the view. They also automatically add 15% for service so beware. Very nice seating. The sandwiches are ok such as the chicken sandwich, but the bread gets water logged with the sauce. The bowl of gumbo was also ok, but very little fish..... lots of rice and tomatoes. The size is not really a bowl, being the size of a cup elsewhere. So if hungry, get something with it. The sweet potato fries were good and crispy.
Eric was our bartender at the outside bar. He was awesome, we had an absolute blast. This guy is a breath of fresh air in an area where bars have imported employees that aren’t genuine. Go see Eric for a taste of what the Panhandle used to be like.
Coming from Birmingham England I love coming here. Fantastic location with good food & great cold beer. One of my favourite places in the world
Stopped here for lunch, the view was great but the food not so much. Quality was lacking especially given the price point. Food was cold when it arrived and not very flavorable. I expect to pay higher prices for establishments on the beach with an ocean view but expect the quality of food to match. Bottom line, there are better options in the area.
Best views on 30a! Good food!
Amazing atmosphere and pleasant service. I was a little disappointed in the selection of food for people who are more selective but I enjoyed being there.
What a great lunch spot! Views to make your jaw drop of the incredible ocean. Yummy drinks, obviously frose’ was the perfect choice with the 97 degree day and tasted amazing. Salad seemed not like a ton of food, but it was one of the best Caesar salads I have had, light, crisp, and not too much dressing. Fresh Parmesan and it was perfect. Beautiful spot. Prices were a bit high but totally worth it for a great view and wonderful friendly service! 🍾😍😍
There is nothing better than enjoying amazing food and drinks while out in the fresh air on the Seaside waterfront beach!🍹
Awesome food great service and great scenery
Great place to catch the sunset and great food. As a local, we visit Bud & Alley's several times a month. In the summer it's very busy, so we take advantage of it in the offseason more. Well worth the stop! I promise the view and food will bring you back time and time again! If you like this, review please hit the like button. #outalongcr30a
My family and I ate at Bud and Alley’s this weekend on July Fourth. We were looking for a restaurant on or near the beach and Bud & Alley’s was the perfect location! My husband, my parents and I all devoured our meals and were absolutely satisfied! I had the best crab cakes I’ve ever eaten in my life. They weren’t mostly breading like other crab cakes I’ve had before. These cakes were fully loaded with crab and only a tiny crust around them to keep them intact. Lathered in a delicious lemon butter, they couldn’t have been better! The staff was incredibly friendly and they never let an empty plate sit on your table! Oh, and they’re desserts were delicious too! We will be back for sure! Highly recommended!
Great place. We go here every time we are in the 30A area. The last time we were there, we were seated on the top patio outside. They were also accommodating to our Aussie. Really good service. Really good food. Very nice selection of local beers. Great views of the Gulf. It was kind of windy this day but the way the place is configured we could not tell at all! Additionally, there was NO wait during what seemed to be a very busy time!Highly recommended.
Touristy spot with a great view. Food was very average.
We ate here twice in one day. Once for dinner and once for dessert a couple hours later on the rooftop. I believe Hector was our server’s name, and he was extremely kind and attentive. The food and wine were great as well! Thank you. We will return next time we are in Seaside.
This restaurant was so good! Food and service were both great, with an INCREDIBLE view! I would definitely recommend
It is an absolutely amazing place to dine. Right off the ocean. Great atmosphere, food, drinks & staff. I will be back!
We ordered a ton of food for our first night in town. We found none of it edible after spending $340 on dinner. To top it off they add 20% gratuity so the service was sub par
Rude waiter and horrible experience. There was a hair in my appetizer, and the waiter Chris did not apologize or offer to bring back a new appetizer. When ordering the porterhouse steak, the waiter told me it was a porkchop. When I ordered my steak medium rare, he told me I should get it medium. I asked for two shots of 1800 tequila and Chris told me they don't stock low shelf alcohol. Food came out cold after 45 minutes of waiting. Very disappointed as this restaurant came highly recommended by friends and family.
We were here with the girls group and had so much fun. The food was good the atmosphere was joyful and the service was stellar. My phone slipped out of my purse fell on the roof delois slid down the roof hit another roof and then slammed into a very small space that I didn't think anybody would be able to get it. The manager and staff worked to get my phone even though it was still very busy in the restaurant. They handed me my phone and acted like it was no big deal they were so nice about it. Our experience as a whole was very pleasant.
Have never had a disappointing meal here. I just wish the prices were a little cheaper but I understand they have to pay for that beach front property. I highly recommend the smoked tuna dip!!
My family had dinner there last week and I was shocked at the poor food and service. The fish was severely overcooked and tasted like it was very old. We thought the prices would be indicative of fresh, tasty food but it was not at all. We came hungry and left hungry, as none of us could finish the terrible food. Service was poor as well. The waitress would walk away when we were in mid-sentence! We could not leave quickly enough. The people sitting next to us told us that their experience was the same as ours. Plenty of good places to eat in this area. This is not one of those.
Typical tourist trap, if I am being honest. $17 for a Reuben and some potato chips that I could have made 10 of at home for less with better ingredients and if you're going to charge that much for a sandwich it better be something special. $16 for a kids chicken strip meal which consisted of 3 strips and the same bag of chips I got with my sandwich and they were your typical Tyson strips that cost $7 for a 3 lb bag at the store. I expect markup at restaurants but this one seemed out of line especially when compared to the quality of the food received. The only reason I didn't go one star was because the staff was exceptionally friendly and outgoing. That was the one plus.
Horrible food ,way overpriced and people are on top of each other a d covid cases are getting higher every day . Wonder why?
Four of us dined there last night and were disappointed. Three of us ordered seafood gumbo and two were sent back, too spicy (we know our gumbo). My wife had a crab cake with arugula salad at $35, but didn’t eat it, no flavor. The other couple had boiled shrimp which they didn’t even come near finishing. There is work to be done in the kitchen, my friend. Down here, if you serve a seafood gumbo, it better be good.
So far so good 👍 👌 😌
I give it 3 stars only because all the signs say to go in front entrance then they tell you to go back outside and walk around to get to the top where we had to seat ourselves finally. We had to flag down a server and he acted as if we didn't belong there and he must have hated his job. The food was good but the service was very lacking.
Great view and bfast food! Sat up top with fabulous weather, parking easy on Sun am. Bacon, mushroom & Jack cheese omelet was delish, yummy sausage gravy too!
It was fun . nice atmosphere right at the water
Great food and drinks. Still under construction, but it will be 5* when it is finished. You can't beat the view in Seaside.
Had the shrimp and grits, was great. Kids cleaned their plates. They had PB&J, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, and a burger. Had a wonderful view while eating. My wife had a chicken salad sandwich and loved it. A little on the expensive side but you have to pay for that coast view some how rent isn't free.
Wonderful tourist place on the shore. Covered outside covered seating is available where you can relax and watch the views.Food is good with a nice bloody Mary. But do yourself a favor and order the crab cake- order two or three or be ready to fight off others for a second bite. Ours went so fast I didn't get a chance to take a phone.
Great place to eat fresh food well prepared hot & great service
First time for us at Bud and Alley’s in seaside Fl. Had a Great time with family and friends. The restaurant was very clean, the food delicious and the service was excellent. BUT......The prices are extremely high for a very small portions of food. The bathrooms felt like I was waiting on line at a 1978 World Series baseball game with lots of urine, toilet paper and feces on the floor. When brought to the attention of restaurant workers there didn’t seem to be any concern $$$$$👎🏽💩Maybe this is the norm for Florida restaurants but just something that we are not used to
I attended a private party on the back porch. It was absolutely beautiful! The food was some of the best I've ever had! The staff was incredibly friendly! The location was perfect with several little restaurants and shops all in walking distance! Wonderful experience!
Our party had reservations at 5:30. This was confirmed upon arrival at 5:28 when we could finally get to the hostess. The hostess said she’d call us once our table was ready. 20 minutes later, after many more arrived that was seated before us with large parties, I asked the hostess if we were still on her list and where we were in line. She responded that, “everyone is supposed to be in line, but people are everywhere.” We were never called and I ended up leaving. I had eaten at Bud and Alley’s years ago, the service was really good. However, with this terrible experience, plus all the other delicious options now on 30A, I’ll not be back to this restaurant. This is a shame.
Enjoyed cocktails with my brothers on the roof deck the day before Thanksgiving and had a great lunch with family the day after Thanksgiving!!! The calamari with pasta was delicious👍🏻
Gorgeous view. However, service was slow and forgot some of our orders. Food was not very good. Expensive too
Always a great place food is exceptional you can eat there now! We also love the tuna dip....my Coconut mjito was amazing ❤🎉🦀
What is not to love? Great place and great service team. Food is good, though sides need help. Bagged chips with $14 burger. Maybe it was slightly less?
My wife and I had an excellent dinner here. The crab cakes are incredible, and I had the grouper. Service was good, drinks were good. Bill was, after tip, $125, and I think it was money well spent!
It was Off season, Nov. 2nd. There was wedding reception happening & packed with people, but they accomodated the 2 of us for my birthday dinner. We didn't have reservations. Menu had Varied food selection. Steak was excellentLobster tail a little overdone. Side dishes great. Quick service & waiter checked with us several times during meal. Beautiful grounds & Sunset. We ate inside rather than out as it was cold out. Will definitely be back there.
If your on vacation and staying in Seaside, of course the prices will be higher, when your eating on the second floor overlooking the beautiful beach with the sunset view, be fortunate you even have a place to sit. I’m local and have to wait for the vacationers to leave so I can have a choice of view. And yes the good food is worth a few extra dollars.
Food was very good and service was excellent.
I called for reservations and they told me over the phone they didn’t take any but to come right at 5:30 when they open. Well apparently the people all in front of us had reservations and they didn’t tell us that the roof top was first come first serve. The food was good but not for the price. Expensive meal, kids menu prices were $15! The service was good, we had to wait a while on drinks. Overall good, not great. Hope that helps!
Make that half a star! Went there for dinner. Saw the menu prices and naturally expected really delicious, great quality food. For almost $40 a plate anyone would! Food was terrible. No flavor. Very mediocre! I wouldn’t pay $10 for the food we received. Not only was the food bad, but so was the service! Our server walked away half way through taking our drink order to deliver food for another table so “it wouldn’t get cold.” Our appetizers came out before our drinks did. We waited so long for our drinks that some of our guests went to the bar themselves to get a drink. I guess service isn’t priority when you know 20% gratuity will be added at the end because there were 10 of us. Overall not a good experience. Will never go back. It’s a tourist trap!
Good food, good drinks, and excellent service. Top that with a fun crowd and the Gulf of Mexico...enough said...
We dine at Bud and Ally’s about eight times a year. The experience is always wonderful. The bartenders are quite talented and so friendly. We usually dine on the upstairs deck, but this time was a bit too chilly, so we dined inside. The view was still wonderful, and the staff went out of their way to make sure we could see the ocean. I usually order the Salad Nicoise because it’s the best one for three counties. My hub always wants the chicken piccata for the same reason. The smoked tuna dip used to be a stand out, but it’s just not the same anymore for some reason. Don’t miss an opportunity to stop in and have a delicious meal and robust cocktail with one of the best gulf views in the county.
My wife and I ate at the rooftop bar a few nights ago, and although the views are stunning, the food was not. For two people the meal was (after tip) about $150. The red snapper was decent, but the food was borderline cold by the time it got to us. Great Southern's food (located across the street) is comparably priced and is significantly better. I plan to give Bud & Alley's another shot in the future, but I was pretty disappointed with our most recent visit.
